The Women's Ministry Advent Tea 2008 was a smashing success! We enjoyed a wonderful evening of delicious teas and sweets from Sisters Tea Parlor. Lisa Spurlock provided Christmas music on her harp which added another special touch. Our presenter for the evening was M. Annette Turner, Executive Director of the Archdiocese of Louisville Office of Multicultural Ministries. Mrs. Turner talked about the beauty of Christmas traditions. We hope that everyone who attended will remember how traditions--not the money spent on gifts--will be what our families carry in their Christmas memories. An unbelievable amount of toiletries were collected to take to St. Joseph's. They will be used by children who enter programming there. Please note the new Advent Tea Slideshow. You can see that a great evening was had by all. Finally, many thanks to the women of the SMM Women's Ministry "Tea Board" who helped put on this fabulous event: Angela Springer, Lisa Stumler, Bonnie Chester, Laura Siemens and Bev Wilson.
Please stay tuned to the bulletin for the next upcoming Women's Ministry event--the six week Bible Study, "Becoming A Praying Person".
